This watercolor was created during the time Lucinda was the resident artist for Robert Mondavi. This winery was between her home and the Mondavi Winery in Oakville. She captured the beautiful shadows from the vines and the Victorian architecture. This winery was called St Clement.

This oil painting inspired by a gorgeous day after a Woman’s Club meeting. One of the members asked where Lucinda lived, and with that, she took her over to the window and pointed across the valley towards towards home. When she saw the view, she said, “I have to take a photo of this. It would make a beautiful painting.” You are transported to this window view when you look at this painting from any angle. It is now a historical painting as the tree is no longer there.

This watercolor was created in 2015 from an image Lucinda captured of dairy cows in Amelia, NY. Her fondest memory was venturing out into the field to get closer. Thinking she was there to feed them, they started walking towards her, then picking up pace as if they were jogging. She barely made it over the fence as they were right on her heals! Lucinda loves cows and they are one of her favorite subjects to paint.

One early morning, Lucinda and her Great Dane, T-Rex drove down to Cavallo Point as the sun was rising over San Francisco to paint the view she selected. This is one of the barracks of the very first ever built by the military to house their officers. A few years later, Lucinda became the Resident Artist for this property.

On the North Shore of St John is a rock that protrudes straight out of the water called, “Carvel Rock”. If you are boating by, you can not pass without getting closer. it is so inviting. The water surrounding is fairly deep so the colors are a rich blue. The Tarpon below swim around and around. That shouldn’t deter you from somehow climbing on it and hugging it. It is a spiritual spot rich with so much to experience.

Beach House was created for the Residences of The Ritz-Carlton, St Thomas. The subject was the little white house on the water’s edge at Cinnamon Bay Beach, St John, USVI. The oldest structure on St John and was a magical place, but sadly was destroyed by Hurricane Irma. There is only one left of this edition.

Lucinda never tires of watching Banana leaves moved around from the wind, especially when the sun is on them. The leaves are transparent enough for the light to penetrate and give off an incredible green color. This with the shaded dark greens makes an inviting combination. I created this piece did when I worked on The Ritz Carlton, St Thomas renovations.

The owners of Bluebeard’s Castle commissioned Lucinda to paint an image of the famous castle for the renovations. The original hangs in the lobby of the reception area for all to enjoy in St Thomas, and it was where she attended Rotary for almost ten years. This limited edition of 500 is signed and numbered.

This watercolor was created on location at a dairy in Amenia, NY, and painted during the weekend of a wedding that was held close by at a retreat. Lucinda has fond memories of climbing over the fence to get a better look at the cows, and seeing them all stop eating to look at her.

Driving down a street called, Bunker Hill (seen here) will lead you into Charlotte Amalie, the main town of St Thomas and the harbor. Lucinda’s gallery called, “Blue Turtle” was located at the bottom of the hill and her art studio was conveniently up the hill on the right called, “Synagogue Hill”. This of course if you were driving. If you were walking you wouldn’t think it was convenient. Lucinda loved to walk the streets during the day taking in the scenes of “Island Life”. To look at this watercolor, you can almost hear the sounds of reggie music or what is called, “Soca” music. This piece adorned all the residences at The Ritz-Carlton. This is in a series of 150.

This limited edition on canvas is from an oil painting of the very East End of St Thomas. Lucinda was invited by the owners to take photos of their incredible home for a commission. What she was taken by most was their kitchen and how it was so open on three sides. Lucky for her, the sun and shadows were perfectly positioned for her to capture an interesting composition. This is a perfect painting for a powder room, because it is very inviting. There is only one available.

This oil painting is in the Impressionistic style of the view from The Ritz-Carlton, St Thomas, and the original is in the artist’s collection. It is the view which was often painted by Lucinda’s students during the classes she held weekly. This is a Giclee reproduction on Moab Premier paper.

Ah, the famous 99 Steps, which were actually 103. You could find these steps on Government Hill, St Thomas, USVI. There was a lot of care taken to this area between Charlotte Amalie an Blackbeard’s Castle during the time she owned Blue Turtle Gallery also located on Government Hill. She always enjoyed walking these steps, and admired the colors from the flowers and of course, the views of the harbor. When she thinks of the islands, this is one of the first views that comes to mind. Quintessential St Thomas.

Lucinda was the resident artist for Caneel Bay, St John for 10 years. Each time she came through the gates of this Lawerence Rockefeller property, she was drawn to the beautiful Flamboyant tree. When she was commissioned by The Ritz-Carlton, St Thomas to create artwork for all the Residences, she knew the Flamboyant tree would be a perfect subject for the decor of the main room. Her youngest collector, Robert Blackwood who was 15 at the time purchased the original oil, and is now featured in his home in Pittsburg.

You can almost feel the Caribbean breeze when imagining standing on the coral steps looking towards St John. This would bring color to any powder room or an office that needs a little life. Hawksnest Beach is the first beach you come to when driving on the Northside of St John’s National Park. On a Sunday, you would often find locals standing on the water’s edge talking about the week’s events and waiting for the rain clouds to pass. The wet sand on the beach guides you beyond the gathering to Caneel Bay’s Hawksnest Beach. This original oil painting, created in an Impressionistic style was commissioned for a white wine label. A signed limited edition reproduction of 95 is available to you, and certainly would bring back warm memories of being at the beach.

This watercolor was painted on the deck of Lucinda’s home, located on Central Ave in Sausalito. She was not fond of the roofs in the foreground, so she did some landscaping” so to speak. This painting was before the Salesforce building was constructed.

Hotel 1829’s was a grand landmark in the Virgin Islands, and the restaurant was a place where you could see the famous and notable at any given table. It was THE place to be seen back in the day. Lucinda’s gallery was just beyond the hotel down the hill. This signed reproduction is an artist proof, which is printed first when matching the colors to the original to assure it is as close as you can get. It is unique.

This watercolor painting was created on the deck of Lucinda’s home located on Central Ave in Sausalito. She captured the fog rolling under the gate on this overcast day.

Schoonmaker Beach is located in Sausalito, CA., where on most days, you would find families and friends meeting there to soak in the sun, weather permitting. Farley, her Great Dane has enjoyed running up and down the shoreline from time to time. This piece was created for an art show titled, “On the Water’s Edge” in 2020.

Drake’s Seat is a place where you could pull off to the side and take in the view overlooking Magens Bay. The name arose out of its ownership by vicegouvernor Jacob Jorgenson Magens (1682-1732). The original is in the collection of Harthman family. It was purchased by Sammy Harthman, who owned a very large piece of St Thomas. This is a signed limited edition reproduction and would brighten up any room in your home or office.

One of her few nighttime paintings, Lucinda wanted to capture the essence of the property at night with the Lady Lyndsy, the property’s sailboat.
